Chevrolet Volt Wins
Automobile Magazine's 2011 Automobile of the Year
AwardThe 2011 Chevrolet Volt has been dubbed "More car than electric." Now the
critics agree it's more car than most cars too.
Automobile Magazine has
given the all-new Volt the prestigious 2011 Automobile of the Year award.
Powered by electricity without being tethered to electrical outlets, Volt does
everything a great car should and, according to
Automobile Magazine,
better than any other. It's further proof that today, tomorrow and on into the
future, Chevy Runs Deep.
The 2011 Chevrolet Volt- GM's Electric Car The new
2011 Chevrolet Volt
is GM's new take on an electric vehicle. This new Chevrolet Electric
Vehile will hit showrooms at the end of 2010. The Volt is an electric
car that uses gas to create its own electricity. Simply plug in the
Volt overnight, and its ready to run on pure electric charge for up to
40 miles. Once the charge is depleted and is not recharged, the Volt
uses a range-extending gas generator that produces energy to run for
hundreds of miles on a single tank. So first, the vehicle runs on
electricity from its battery, then it runs on electricity it creates
from gas.
