Chevy Colorado ZR2 Leverages Small Size to Deliver Rock-Crawling Prowess

If you're looking to get out of Harlingen and hit the trails hard, the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is your ticket to off-road adventure.

Everything is bigger in Texas, and that includes our pickup trucks. It's safe to say the compact and midsize truck segment has not fared as well in recent years as the full-size segment. That's their loss when it comes time to head into the wilderness.

Fortunately the midsize Chevy Colorado is still going strong, and the off-road model, the Colorado ZR2, uses its narrower width to its advantage on tight trails where maneuverability is at a premium.

This Rubicon-trail-tested pickup has a 2-inch higher suspension than the standard Chevy Colorado, custom-made by Multimatic to support both jumping and rock crawling. It features 3.5-inch wider tracks, 30-degree approach angle, front and rear locking differentials, and hill descent control, among other specialized equipment.

For narrow canyons, and tight rocky trails, there is no truck more capable. Visit Gillman Chevrolet Harlingen to learn more.
